personally i find telecaster ugly, but they are still well made instruments. remember guys its not all about the looks its about the tone.

i'd play a pink hello kitty bass guitar on stage if it sounded amazing.

I'll say it again, how a guitar looks has no bearing on how good it is! Tele's sound amazing and it's a shame that anyone would criticize them just because of how they look.

The sounds is important yes, but it's near impossible not to take looks into consideration when you know you're gunna be on stage with the thing.

This, but one last thing to everyone bitching me.

Yes I did play telecasters. Yes they do have a brilliant tone.

But also, they are ugly. I'm sorry but it's more than enough to kill it for me. Shame? Maybe it is, but I don't deny it.

Plus, although the tone comes a good part from the wood of the guitar, it's not entirely from it. It's well easy to get an incredible with the adequate equipment and any guitar.

they make them with 6 strings too, i just prefer the 5 string model
