Actually, most Catholics are not Christians, they believe purgatory exists, and they dont believe you have to accept Jesus as your savior.

Edit: Before you go on about that, Purgatory is found absolutely no where in the Bible, and no one even know where they came up with. It's kinda funny.

I dont remember anything about Catholics not beleiving you have to accept Jesus as your saviour. In fact that doesnt make any sense whatsoever because that is the point of Christianity. You cant be christian and not beleive in the teachings of Jesus

Purgatory is absolutely NOT in the Bible, not even the slightest hint of it, and it is not even in the several books that the Pope has added to the Bible either.

The bible gives multiple examples that go in favor of either point. But you make it seem like it is absurd to think it exists. If the dead as immediately judged and either sent to heaven or hell then why pray for the dead? There has to be an intermediary point where they are judged or where they may not have sinned to the point of damnation but they are not pure as to enter heaven. That is the idea behind purgatory.
