Need some good pedals for xmas! Looking for about 3, prefer under 100 dollars per each pedal. The cheaper the better cause I can get more then!

Cheap pedals are often really not worth it, they usually either don't sound that good, or they're not durable. That being said, I have been really happy with Behringer's HM300, it's a clone of the Boss HM-2 and I paid under $30 for it on Amazon. I don't use it that often, but it sounds good and it is quite durable. I rely on this mainly when I'm jamming with friends who have a spare amp, since it seems everyone I know has an extra amp that doesn't have enough distortion for metal. Pedals can be a really tough call though, since you really need to figure out how it works in your setup and if it sounds good to you. Figure out what you really want, because cheap pedals get used a few times as a gimmick then set aside, but quality stuff sticks around. A few of the older guys I know have been using the same wah pedals for 10-20 years despite upgrading every other piece of their gear. Good gear lasts a long time.

How much roughly would a good pedal run? Over 200?

Dollars or real money? :P

IMO anything over £159 for 1 pedal (Boss Chorus for instance) is excessive. So in $ terms, I guess that $220 should be the limit.

Agreed - if you buy cheap crap and you like it, keep it!

But Boss won't let you down
