You obviously know nothing about your religion, you've been told Christianity is right your entire life, and you believe it, you should learn to THINK FOR YOURSELF and use logic in your decisions.


So just because we base our calendar on a religion, it's correct? Civilizations have been basing calendars on their religious figures for thousands of years

Is it logical to assume that Christians are better people than, for example, Atheists, then?
Can you explain why Christians, making up roughly 81% of the American population, also make up 84% of the prison population, while Atheists (14% of American population) make up approximately 0.2% of prison population?

more then half those people are just ppl who say oh ya i believe in God and they never act on it all they do is "believe in God"
when they never even act like a christian or as a christian
they are afraid to tell people Jesus is their Lord and Saviour
so they just do what they would normally do without thinking of God or what the Bible says

Well if you actually listened to the Bible, then you can't wear clothes that are made of more than 1 type of fabric, you can't plant 2 different crops in the same field, if you work on sunday you should be put to death, Disobedient kids can be stoned to death or locked up and tortured, Slavery is okay as long as the slave doesn't die on the first day, ETC.

More than half those people? Wow, that still leaves approximately 42% of the prison population out of 81% US christian population. And assuming half of the people in prison lied about their religion, why should we not assume that the polls indicating the total christian population of the US are likewise skewed? Oh but let's just, for the sake of argument, say that only 42% of the prison population is christians and 81% of the population is christians. Now atheists make up 14% of the American population but have a measly 0.2% of the prison population.
You know what that means, christians are still proving to be more corrupt, lawbreaking, and overall bad people than Atheists.

So even if we only count for half of the Christians in jail, there is are still 210 Christians for EACH Atheist in jail.

There are many contradictions and inconsistencies in the new testament as well.

There is nothing in the Bible about the Old Testament not applying after Christ's death. You Christians simply realized how silly some of the laws were and came to the conclusion that if you tried to get people to follow all the laws everyone would leave the faith. Regardless of what you try to say, if you really want to follow the true "word of God", you will have to follow the Old Testament.
