Yeah fair enough. And on the bands that go beyond I would place bands like Lamb of God and Between the Buried and Me
in that category. I mean Lamb of God DOES use some breakdowns I'll give you that but I think their riffage is amazingly combined
with a sick amount of musical talent as a group. And then Between the Buried and Me are metalcore I think... correct me if I'm wrong
on that one. But either way I agree that bands like Killswitch and A7X stick to the "metalcore" standards or breakdowns and droped tunings
but there are a ton of bands that i think still sound great.

definetly not prog. I just listened to a few of their songs, (their names escape me except for alaska). The intro to alaska does sound like prog, like symphony x and dream theatre stuff but the majority of the song is definetly metalcore.
