Sorry, gotta disagree with that. Marty Friedman was one part of the greatest shred tandem of all time, Cacophony. Randy was amazing in his own way, but like all pioneers, his work has been surpassed by his predecessors. Dime and Kirk both were instrumental in molding the metal sound with their guitar tones, but weren't nearly the virtuosos RR and Marty were. As such, Marty ftw, until someone adds Jason Becker or Michael Angelo Batio.
