My avatar 2x12 came in yesterday. It is alot bigger than i imagined it to be. I tried it out with my friends Crate and it made his amp sound so much more full and powerfull. I cant wait till my Carvin V3 comes in to hear it with a good amp. Pics! Dual Celestion Vintage 30s ftw!

what amp is good to get as a first tube amp ?
I thought of a Randall combo.. but I don't really play any metal ( more like a variety of many genres ). Because the price of a tube randall isn't so big.
Maybe I could also afford myself an ENGL Screamer..

looks cool, but I can spend more money ( about 800-900 ).. Has anyone had experience with the vox tube amps ?
And Those prices are awesome, it's much more expeensive here in europe

Vox amps sound AMAZING, and i would LOVE to buy one, but they are the most unreliable amps you can buy.
I've had 2 break down on me while just testing them in the store. And they average like a 3/10 on harmony central for reliablility with thousands of reviews

Im about to buy a fender hot rod deluxe, because of the amazing cleans and reverb, and im going to use an MI Audio crunch box distortion and blues pro overdrive for my grit, since i hate fender overdrive

Well you mean cheap Voxs are very unreliable, the AC15 and AC30 are legendary amps. That is the custom ones.

the ac15 and ac30 custom classics are 2 of the most unreliable amps to ever exist, i'd pick a berhinger solid state over that for a gig. because i'd rather have an amp that will work the whole way through
