That's funny, because Hendrix was a huge influence on both Hammett and Slash... And just about everyone else on that list.

I hate how people think guitar playing is all competition. I used to feel the same way when I was 13-14, but eventually you just realize it's all about the feeling.

Dudes like Rusty Cooley, Michael Angelo, are the best guitarists in the technical way (and funny too watch), but geez, their songs sound like gameboy 90's games. Spending years of training in sweeping, legato and such to play so crappy songs is imho totally worthless.
