i agree with vital remains being repetitive, but its like opeth, the riffs and melody's are so good - why would you change it so quickly?

i can comprehend that and i love it in electronic or atmospheric music but its not my cup of tea when it comes to metal.

you should also consider spinning one or two of their cds again and if you didnt check out their newest release yet, you should ASAP.

its one of my brothers favorite bands, he likes stuff like burzum so it really is his kinda thing, i think black metal on a whole is just poor, and the more "real black metal" it is, the worse the material is, thrown in with terrible recording quality... but i try to only bitch about other peoples music if they bitch about mine

I don't dislike Black Metal, but I certainly would never rate ANY of it above heavy metal or thrash metal, and would love to beat Anaal Nakraath into a pulp. I saw them support Testament in London, and it was one of the worst fucking attrocities i've ever heard live, and i've heard my local emo music scene

All of these songs are excellent. Thrash/Heavy Metal are the best genres, period, everything heavier is just less fun to listen, maybe with some exceptions like Death(the band, not genre).
