If only that statement made any shred of sense.

And Kurt Cobain is a pretty noteworthy musician in general.  He may not be technically great at guitar, but that is one of the least important things when it comes to musical output.  That's why this thread is so funny, because most of the guitarists people are jerking off into their mouths aren't really worth anything musically.

Paul Gilbert totally destroys Kurt Cobain in any musical aspect.
I'd say the same about Chris Broderick, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, etc...

Kurt Cobain might be very innovative (and I respect Nirvana although I dislike them), but he's nothing THAT special.

Me, and probably anyone with a shred of taste or knowledge concerning music.  If it makes you feel any better, you're entitled to your opinion no matter how terrible it may be.

I've been studying and playing music for most of my life. As far as I'm concerned, my opinion isn't worth more than anybody else's, nor is yours. Get over yourself.

Innovation. I'm not a big fan either, but you just can't spit on Nirvana.

Innovation? He's renowned for being shitty at guitar and commercially successful. That's the point of modern rock. Why do you think it's so simple, uninteresting, and formulaic?

Probably the most ignorant thing I've ever read, congrats.

If any musical aspect is confined to playing 3 note per string scale patterns really fast. Unfortunately, that's not musical and has no musical worth. Being able to play fast or wank on the guitar doesn't make you a good guitar player, and it REALLY doesn't make you a good musician.

JP is probably one of the worst wankers around.

He's no wanker, but he's definitely not one of my favorites. He's very potent, but his music does nothing for me - well Image and Words is always a good listen, but that's pretty much it. I think he used to be a lot better than he's now.

You know there's no clear objective in music, and terms like "good" and "valuable" are therefore completely subjective, right?

If you want to believe that you can, but it's not even close to being the truth.

You can't seriously be that small-minded. Which part of it is wrong, and why?

Sorry, but you are not a very intelligent person.
