Tube amplifiers use tubes for pre-amplification and amplification. As opposed to solid-state amplifiers that use diodes. Tube amplification provides a more natural distortion and due to the imperfect nature of the tubes it tends to create unique harmonic overtones that make it sound more full than when using solid state amplifiers.

The classic 30 runs about 650. I suggest you look for a used one, you can get them for cheaper that way.

for some reason there was 3 e's on eeebay.

seems like it wont let me post eebay link. Its just a search for Peavey Classic 30 on eebay. Look it up

What would you guys recommend for a overdrive to push the sound of a vox ac 30? OCD Fulltone or some unknown boutique pedal? :)

Does anybody have any experience with z.vex pedals here?

i got:

boss v-wah (which i hate)
akai headrush e2
way huge fat sandwich (loooove)

full tone ocd is good, ts9 is good, ts808 is good, maxon od.

i suggest you go to the store and try them out
