Check out craigslist or pawn shops bro.  Most small local guitar shops are a rip off for anything unless your buying like strings.  Go used in my opinion if you want a quality instrument for your money.  For 350 bucks you could get a basic used solid state halfstack like a crate etc.... You can find 4x12 cabs for 100 bucks all day long on craigslist,  and an ESP LTD base model, like an Ec-50 etc,  Believe me I have bought full setups for less.  Look around IMO.  If your smart and wait a little bit you can get something that lasts.  I normally will buy broken or beat up stuff, fix it up, then resell it within the week, but thats me, I have been taken amps and guitars apart since before I had a clue how to put them back together, lol.

dude =X

They're ok as a beginners guitar, but you will quickly outgrow it. You won't outgrow the standard too fast.

yes i agree id go with the standard.

maybe a fender strat or telecaster.
or maybe a inbanez 350dx.

personally ive played the standard when i literally first picked up the guitar and it feels good and is easy to play/sounds good.
