This isn't necessary, a higher voice only makes it sound more energetic and sometimes makes it sound like you actually sing better when you don't. Leave him be singing the way he is, he'll practice and get better eventually, I mean hell hes alright made a ton of songs -- he'll get there.

btw don't get me wrong shootingstar, the vocals are good but can be improved a lot. And I think icewind is trying to say you're monotone -- which is not really true since you're aiming to sing in that type of style.

I think this is all really helping me think about what I am trying to make. Improvements can always be made and I agree it just takes practice. Thanks for all the responses! Maybe I should get everyone here to listen on a few other different songs that i have done.

theres no energy in ur singing, it sounds like ur bored, :(

and thats how i feel when i listen to it, u have to project better with your voice how u want the audience to feel

thats what a lot of people have been saying here. I think on one of the next three im gona record as acoustic and then as electric with a little more rock and roll to it. when its done ill be sure to let everyone here know to listen to it

Man, it's great you're doing music.. keep doing that. You got nice skills with guitar and you should keep improving them.
From the first song (didn't listen to all of them yet) I guess you're doing your stuff with guitar and mic only. It's nice combo
and you seem to have skills with both of them, so I wish you damn good luck with your material..

Looks like you got gigs already etc so it's starting. You just need to add an element or two unless you want to stay in
bars where people go to get drunk and listen to some nice background music. The first song is not gonna grab the audience,
but it's going to make the eye corners of the girls wet.. which is also a very good result from a song! ,)

One day we might be making a song together, dude! I like your voice, keep evolving man, there's a lot of talent in you.

I think your second paragraph hit the nail right on the head. I dont mind being seen as the 'background' music, but I'd still like to be listened to. I appreciate your comments and thanks for the praise, it makes me feel pretty good! Listen to the rest of them and let me know which one you like the best. Maybe youll think of something else to say too.

Two new songs up. They are definitely rough drafts. The first one is kind of a joke for now. The second one, Fight Night, was a little more serious. So, no need to tell me I suck *cough* wh0racLe *cough* haha, excuse me. So just let me know you're listening. Thanks for everything!

edit: Damn, just noticed the levels were really low. Ive got to fix that.
