What forced you to hear Alternative?

Some Question: What do you[I mean all Viewers :] think about "CORE" genres such as punkcore, emocore and so on? I think "CORE" genres are useless, they does not sound better or different in any way.

Read before post, it is not only about influence, itz it also about genres.
We talk about Genres AND influences etc as Freeze and me said.

You're poll and you're thread title along with the base of your ideas making this thread had nothing to do with influences but only about genres everyone prefers.

But yeah, Listen to Baying of the Hounds or Deliverance by Opeth. They both have great hard to soft transitions. Those two songs are probably the two that I've listened to the most when I try to write things.

Deliverance, one of my favorite from Opeth. Very inspiring indeed.

Yes , Opeth can be seen from progressive metal to melodic death metal. For example Hessian Peel is more melodic,love the beginning
