I just ordered a gibson faded explorer for a present to myself

some realy cool stuff,, i just have some low quality stuff,, a yamaha alto sax and a couple guitars one electric and one accoustic

I really dont like the faded series

but its a nice alternative if you dont got the money for a normal explore

well it was on sale for 700 with a hardshell case new
there is no way that i would pay DOUBLE THAT for a finish that i don't even find very good at all lol.
Because they are the exact same otherwise, and they sound the same, except the faded's play better because of an unglossed neck

I personally dont like how it feels when you hold it but then again thats differs from player to player. as long as your happy for your new guitar then it was a great buy
