Ive been playing around with building my own for a bit now. Build one with a vacuum tube which is pretty cool. This one should be great once I finish it.
If you did this type of thing often and had the parts on hand and didnt have to order several little things like I do, you could churn out high quality pedals pretty cheaply.
Ive spent quite a bit of money just playing around and ordering stuff online, but I also have enough parts to complete 4 different pedals and have lots of parts left over. There are just so many different types of parts its hard to have everything in stock.
I may look into building them more often to sell (might be some legal issues). Half of these you can make for like $30 and then sound as good as $150 pedals. Some of the ones ive seen guys make look even better than manufactured ones.
