because its hard to emulate an amp period, another midi or pedal would be better than going through program mods.
quick question how come you dont just use an amp? I mean I can understand if all you have is like a shitty practice amp but as long as you plug in through your G9 it would prob be a lot closer
than what your trying, and some mastering through whatever program you use would clean it up even more.
I don't really understand how the amp helps. The G9 emulates all sorts of high-end amps, and allows for pre-amp settings like bass ,mid, low-mid, treble, harmonics as well. How would using an actual amp change the tone at all?

even though yours is a g9
this dude has a bunch of tones for the g1-2 series
http://www.youtube.com/user/d4agreg?feature=watchif the pedals are similar (which they should be) you can use the settings for a base and adjust it yourself to the tone you want
Thanks, these may come in useful. I think I've actually come quite close to finding the tone used here
