having a cheap instrument doesnt make you quit.....

i dont think anyone just starting out really knows whats combfortable to them or not. when i started out the first guitar i had was a $25 hohner acoustic i bought from a salvation army. the bridge pins didnt even come out and i had to break them and buy new ones.

point is its not the guitar or how much its worth that should keep you playing its the fact you love playing.

This - twice.

Once you are settled and have lets say, 6 months of solid playing under your belt, THEN as a guitarist you can make the upgrade from Squire > Fender etc etc.

eho how does it not? just because you dont know brand names? anyways just go grab a guitar and start playing, your preferences will develop over time. for now just do what you can with what you got.

is ashton a type of guitar??? or is it just a brand.... any tips on what i should buy?? i dont really want a walmart guitar type either ..

Try a Fender Squire for electric guitars. They are cheap (around 200 bucks or less) and great for starting out and seeing if you want to continue playing. I played it for over a year before I bought my Telecaster. Great learning guitar, easy to hold the strings down, etc.
