Unfortunately, I find this form of music to be barbaric and disturbing.

2: Not a chance

disturbing: I can see that too with some bands/songs

But overall a pretty gross oversimplification and generalization of a very broad and diverse genre.

Indeed. There was nothing vulgar or barbaric about Dio for a prime example. Yet he was left with the stigma of the high-browed and un-educated.

It is simply a preference. I don't enjoy listening to rock, metal, etc. I prefer classical.
