Funny you mention that mate, I've been playing drums for over 10 years and today I had my first ever drum lesson (lol) - he was impressed at my technique and all and thought it was great I hadn't created any bad habits that could damage my muscles and tendons, BUT he got me strait on some basic jazz and allthough I have practiced the jazz swing beat I was seriously struggling to even keep time at a slow tempo, massive fail! but hey, it's the reason I got these lessons in the first place... Put me at the heart of a metal band and I have no problem at almost any tempo slow or fast

Totally agree with this.

The idea is really good, it's just the people that lack judgment whether or not a thread should be in musician's chat or favorite songs and band chatters.
