ur way better than me, but im going to be honest, u did hella good, but u can still tell that its alittle beyond ur skill level
i havent even heard the orignial song, but yea. thats my 2 cents lol

it's not his playing - he nailed it almost perfectly. the solo itself is a dreadful bunch of notes that have no flow at all and sound like a disjointed flailing at a guitar pro file with a keyboard. it sounds pretty awful even in the original song.

darkshade, learn something like Sequoia Throne :P

Thanks :)

And I already tried learning it, but the fact I have to tune down is killing me (Since I have an OFR), and most songs I play are in standard.

you could always use something like audacity to move the track up a semitone to play along to :P

I already tried don,t worry haha, I just hate how it sounds. I could also just record my guitar and pitch it down, but it doesn't sound good, my audacity is bugging, don't know why :(

Give some other suggestions people :D

ok this is halarious!

you just said dream theater sounds like a bunch of notes put together?

you just posted a video of the band with the most souless playing ever. good playing, but souless for sure. congrats.

anyone who says dream theater is lifeless or complex for the sake of being complex never took the time to really listen to them. their music is not complex at all, its clever, and their songs all tell a story, and very well.

-------------

back on topic, really nice playing bud, that solo is always fun to play, its great to learn because the techniques used will take you far in your playing
