It's a Stratocaster Squire or whatever. The neck is oak or something good though, at least that's what people have told me.

MG Series 10 is my amp and my brothers is a Frontman 15G by Fender.

Ok,

the Squire stratocaster is alright, not by any means great but it is fine. However no pedal will drastically improve your tone. You should save for a new amp. Right now taking the cheap way, buying a cheap pedal, will only result in you having 2 pieces of cheap equipment that you will grow tired of quickly. If you spend some time saving your money to buy a decent amp, then you will have a good investment with better resale as well as something you will be happy with for much longer.

I could maybe get some money from my mom for a good pedal but it would have to last like 2 years. I am hoping to upgrade my guitar for christmas, but should I upgrade my amp instead? I live in a condo so it can't be mega loud but doesn't it have to be loud enough to be heard infront of a drum kit?

to be heard over a drum kit a 30 watt tube combo or 50+ watt ss. I suggest you take the money you have, combine it with your christmas present and get a better amp.

if playing live, amps can pretty much be mic'd no matter what the size / wattage. either way, tube is the way to go.

Peavey Classic 30 can get you where you want. If you want more boost get an Ibanez TS9 Overdrive.
