you shouldnt want to be the best guitarist right off the hop it takes years to be considered good if you love it enough it doesnt matter how good you are

so far, i can do the first solo of comfortably numb with a little bit of comfort, i can play for whom the bell tolls pretty much all of it and a few things here and there, im practicing a great day for freedom solo, and shine on you crazy diamond intro, not too hard, but i always have to check the tab.. so yeah ive learned all that in 1 month and idk if its good or not

Playing the notes and phrasing them precisely are different things of course, I didn't even try solos until I had been playing for quite a while, and that made the simpler ones quite easy.

i mean, ive been playing for about 1 month everyday and i keep learning songs but its like, never easier.. always having trouble moving fingers fast enough and sometimes i just pick the wrong string and its really frustrating

lol it takes a lot longer than a month. it gets easier with time but ive been palying for almost eight years everyday, and there is still stuff that i cant play. you cant just learn how to do anything overnight like a videogame :/

A truly good guitarist wouldn't say they were a good guitarist.

I've been playing 5 years though.

well it may not seem like you are getting anywhere, if you practice taht much you would have actually gotten somewhere, sometimes progress isnt always visible to yourself, just keep practicing and before you know it youll be really good
