A telecaster will maybe give you a very uniqe sound if you play blues on it because very few people use a tele to play blues.
I think it could be really cool.

Yes teles are acceptable in blues. LPs and Teles are close seconds to a strat when it comes to blues imo. (I hate strats, but I like tele's an LPs :D)
