I would suggest that you never go to that store ever again. If they sell Line 6 amps over Peavey, and say that Peavey does not have good tone they have no fucking clue what they are talking about. Peavey makes some of the best amps ever.

Just to name a few

are some extremely famous Peavey amplifiers.

The line 6 has nothing versus peavey.

I suggest you register at ultimate-guitar.com if you'd like to verify all my claims. Bring your flameshield though. And avoid that store at all costs, because i can already tell they have no interest in helping you make good purchase decisions. They just want you to buy their shitty products by giving biased information. He told you that the peavey was not as good because usually retailers will not carry brands that compete.

For example the vypyr, spyder and vox valvetronix are modelling amps. The store is licensed with line 6 hence they agree not to carry the other modells. Even though the vypyr is superior in every way imaginable.


If he uses that amp i doubt he has been playing much longer than you.

Anyways, glad you're enjoying your spyder, but lemme tell you that when you'll get more and more experienced, you'll realize how shitty those line 6 amps are.

I got my peavey valveking 100 head for around $175 or so. Then a shitty cab for about $50. Sounds great and costed a fraction of what it would have if I bought it new ($730 head).

I suggest you go for used stuff, it's a lot better in my opinion.

all line 6 amps are junk, I've played the vetta series, I hate them. The peavey vypyrs are alot nice imo.

I mean as a practice amp the line 6's will work, i guess.
