Gibsons are overpriced for the quality though. Sure they are great guitars, but seriously overpriced.

a gibson is too much for a first guitar, i think.

I would stick to an American-made fender tele or strat...

but, i prefer bass.

my suggestion though?

google warmoth guitars and build your own to fit your needs.

I had an Ec-100. It's a nice looking guitar. It has a nice fretboard but TERRIBLE pickups.
