Vouch this. learn classical theory, classical technique, (both through an accredited teacher) practice scales and you'll be doing things these "100% improvise" or tab scrubs only dream of.

Guitar Pro, all my musician mates + me use it. Simple to use. I have over 17k tab .rar file that I found and nowdays when I wanna learn something new i just search that one.

So vouch on GP.

And if you need help and I have time I could send you some basic trainings that I've tried myself.
