I heard good things about jet city. Do they uphold their reputation?

It is an amazing brand for the money, I will most likely buy the 4x12... the eminence in them have a great even response to both clean and distortion, but I am probably going to throw some v30's if I pull the trigger on it.

Don't diss the strat... it sounds absolutely amazing for punk/metal/rock or anything where the gain knob is cranked.... it has awesome distorted tones with a distinct tight bottom end and a very nice twangy gritty clean... plus its a string through so it has more sustain than a normal strat and better tuning stability. People give it a bad rep for being a Tom Delonge signature, but guitarist have been making this same guitar for years and years he just happened to like it and have fender release it.

Yeah I think people have a problem with the name rather than the make. Tom Delonge is not a rated guitarist, he's simply A guitarist....

However, I don't doubt that the guitar is probably great for rhythm ^_^

acoustic basses sound so nice

they actually sound quite horrible! only very high end acoustic bass guitar's sound decent. if you want to check out a cool, mid-priced acoustic bass guitar... check out kala's ukulele basses. absolutely HUGE sounding, with piezo pickups; sounds quite like a double bass, only 1/20th the size.

I just like the calming sound of them as opposed to crappy metal mid scooped distorted bass; which is all that seems to be heard nowadays.
