Just bought a 1959 Gibson Les Paul Re-Issue today. smile.gif

I don't have a camera to show it, but you can get a good idea of what it looks like by searching for it on google (it has the washed cherry finish).

the telecaster is pretty ugly as it's 20 years old and super thrashed. i use it every time i play out, because i don't really care about it as much as i do my strats. i love teles, and it is probably my favorite guitar that i own. i would choose tone and quality over looks anyday.

aw man i love fenders with a passion. i've grown so used to their necks that i simply don't feel so comfortable playing any other guitar. i'm not saying that i couldn't appreciate a nice gibson or ibanez or whatever other brands there may be, i've just grown too used to the feel and lovable tones from my fenders biggrin.gif

i can still play other guitars, it's not like i pick up a gibson and can't play it, it just feels out of place in my fender-loving hands tongue.gif

Wow sad.gif

So many people with so many effects pedals. What ever happened to the pure guitar sound straight through an overdriven amp sad.gif

Anyways, I have 6 electric guitars(from hollow bodies to modified strats to a hard rock kramer) I'll be picking up an original '72 tele thinline (not the pos remake in a couple months, it was my Uncles), 2 acoustic, 1 classical and 1 bass.

My baby being a DCE-1 Guild '93 followed by my kramer till I get the thinline.

I also use a wide range of amps from a prototype from Fender of the Hot Rod Deluxe (amazing amp my Uncle got to test out for them loved it so much he kept it then when he passed my Aunt gave it to me) Unlike others in this thread. I also love my solid state Marshall amps. If you actually play out enough trust me burn out a tube onstage sometime lots of fun.

But damn I still can't see why so many effects. 1x chorus 1x wah 1x distortion

Otherwise that what the hell use is it? To cover up shitty playing? Distort the sound and flange it so much that not matter what you play just sounds like muddy shit. I don't get it.

the reason i have pedals is because i haven't always had a good amp and in order to get desirable tones as i progressed, i bought more pedals. i was very influenced by Tom Morello's rigs though, and still am. pedals aren't a band thing man, unless you can afford nice rack gear, which most of us can't.

I may be selling my Super Reverb for 1300, im gonna downsize to a Blackheart Little Giant Head and a 2x12 for now. Hopefully the deal goes through cuz i want to be able to crank that 5 watter. Im also looking to upgrade from my toneport, its not really too great for metal tones. Im looking at getting the mackie satelite, a sm58 for voc and a sm57 to mic.
