I don't like the Invaders for the fact that my action is so high near the high frets. Do you know if the same would happen with Blackouts?

I am very confused as to what you are talking about, my action is wicked low man, as well as have perfect intonation, there was no difference at all from the gibson 500t humbucker and the seymour duncan invader......

I had to adjust my action because the strings were hitting against the black things sticking out. With the stock INF pickups in my guitar, I could just lightly press the string and it would go down, and now when I fret something on the high frets, the above string is close to the top of my finger nail.

This is when my fingers are in the position to bend a string, of course.

lol you could just lower the pickup slightly......

believe me the action on my gibson is as about as low as humanly possible man.

How do you lower the pickup?

I didn't put it in myself.

On both sides of the pickup there are screws bro, you use a screw driver to adjust the height that way. Its very simple... on my my picture you can actually see the individual screw on either side that is used to both hold the pickup in as well as adjust the height, it will always in a minor way alter the sound due to the distance ofc.

edited, also you may actually have pickup housings, but that doesnt change, there will still be adjusting screws as well

Thanks. I love you. It worked.

I never cared to see if they were screwed in all the way or not.

Yeah they do, but I am partial to passive humbuckers....

on another note, I think I am going to be getting a gibson explorer here soon..... I have been close to buying one for a while, if I can find a good deal on one I would be sold.
