Although currently I am running a Sovtek Mig 100hg, through a mesa boogie oversized with two green back reissues and two vintage thirties. The only pedal I will use occasionly is the metal muff. I am not a big fan of pedals, especially since the tone I get off the sovtek is so awesome, but sometimes I wish it was a 2 channel amp instead of a single. Not related but I love my attenuator... without that thing my sovtek was either too quiet to get any decent tube tone, or so ear-bleedingly loud that I could never play at a moderate volume and still get the tone. 100 watts is pretty overkill, I would like to get the sovtek mig 50 or I may sell mine and purchase a JCM 900 50w
I really don't know much about Sovtek amps at all to be honest with you. Is it just a clean channel with a bit of gain like a Dr. Z? Im in the process of selling some pedals I own also, Im sick of all the tapdancing and technical problems they've been causing lately with cables going out, etc. I agree that 100w's is overkill on this amp man. I get yelled at for playing on half of one. and if I played it on the oh so loud ONE. My parents get angry, lol.
