This is my 12th lesson.

13th lesson today learned a bluesy song.

Yesterday, I got a book.
I am learning to read music.
It's the same as when I was taking piano... just with a guitar now.
Learning some stuff... continuing Somethin' Hendrix Style.
Doing Pasta Blues.
Gonna learn a J-Rock song called ummm... Rebel without a Cause.

Commit yourself and you'll improve dramatically, ive only been playing for 3 years (and i wasn't even really into it until recently) and ive gone from not knowing anything about guitar to being able to read music, tabs, sweep picking, tapping, etc.

dont think of it as you suck, think of it as you are always improving

lessons are essential for proper technique in my opinion.

Yesterday, we did REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE.
There was no sheet music for it... but my teacher wrote the song out when he was 16.
He lost the sheets but remembered how to play.
We learned the first part it is sooo sick.
IM serious.
And yes, the video u posted is the song.
BUt I'm playing a more simple version.
im obviously not as good as the guy in trhe video but i can play the song
this is lesson 15.

you should do a post every 10 lessons or so that catalogs everything you've learned

Today, we got half way done the song Rebel Without a Cause.
This is my 16th lesson to date.
My teacher has 17 lessons though... so now I gotta solve this problem.

iv been playing for 6 years, im 17 now. i had friends help me along the way but mostly learned myself, the best way to learn is to, sit down with ur guitar listing to music and learn the work of other great artist, but don't live in there shadows. play with friends and family and write ur own materials.

and what about technique?
is ur technique good, or are u just playing randomly however u can?
