If you want to develop strength in your fingers & stretching them out a little bit, take a look at these "spider" excercise tabs:

It's a bit challenging at the start, figure out the most comfortable way of placing your fingers. It sounds & looks boring at start, but once you get good at it, it's a major leap in your finger placement & soloing :)

PS: You don't have to do this as the first thing. I'd suggest learn a few chords & play them over & over again to strengthen your fingertips. Then get to scales and this spider technique! :)
