Yundi Li, eh. He was big at first but not really anymore.
I would listen to the true masters such as :
Ricther, Horowitz, Rubinstein .

Oh,there's a really cool version of Rachmaninoff etude played by Prokofiev himself.
You should really check it out :)

The videos of him on youtube playing the Scherzos are the old ones. And he's THE SINGLE BEST at those 4 songs by a large margin.

it drags? lol..

richter is known to be the most "badass" player with no rubato.

Yundi is not even considered at the level of the old masters such as Richter..

edit:
idk about you but i go to a music conservatory..
but this is my personal opinion, and you have urs.
btw, ur sig is pretty amazing :)

I won a prize for best composition at age 7 in Vincent D'Indy school in Montreal. And I've been playing piano ever since.

I'm not the best pianist, but I'm VERY able to recognize talent. Richter IS amazing. Alot of the pieces he plays are immensely great. But what Yundi did with those scherzos is EXACTLY how I pictured them when I learned them. And they sound better to me.

If you've taken a look at my signature, then check out the youtube channel where I've posted my latest 6 piano compositions. Namely "Sky Strata" (influenced by Liszt) and "Lost" (Influenced by Chopin and Beethoven)

Yeah, I checked out your composition/piano playing. Idk much about composition but it sounds good bro. Didnt think someone your size could play like that.. (no offense ofc).
It's cool to see many music lovers, especially classical around here!
