Dude - You might not like what you are hearing, but this isn't the correct forum for a discussion about a genre of music - this is a place to discuss the instruments they use for the music.

And to be more ontopic - the main reason the majority of people dislike this genre and the genres very similar to it is because it's all been done before, it's all sounding generic and the same nowadays, and there's just more talent, skill and better song writing in bands outside of the screamo genres.

Dude I don't get it. You're so confused about people shitting on your genre, but you go around shitting on people who like Megadeth?

You're a hypocrite, and at first I thought you might want to discuss the structure and the ideas that go into building the music, but now I realize you're just another douche who likes to go onto youtube and jerk off about who your favorite guitarists are.

Anyway, you want a legit answer? People like what they like because they like it, and they dislike what they dislike because they dislike it. You can ask them why, but ultimately they made the decision before they thought about why. Sure, they can make something up on the spot, but MOST people don't make decisions like that. It's generally an after the fact thing.

I could tell you why, for example, I don't like sweeps, but frankly I just don't like sweeps, and the reasons are irrelevant.
