Yeah the tuning can be a bit of a pain but it's def something new. I usually only play Drop D or Standard.

well it depends on what your tryin to do. I mean to play it by yourself it won't sound the same without the lead/backup vocals in the background but when i play out and i do that song everybody loves it. It would make it cooler with a full band but sometimes you just have to make with what you can do. The lead licks are easy just country style bends.

Just hit open D and drop the E to the same note. Alot of songs are drop tuned half step/ then it pretty much goes metal after that. they mainly do it to accompany the vocalist as it makes it easier to sing or change the mood of a song and there's alot of bands like CCR that completely changes keys in the middle of the song.

Just ran through a rough take of Dead Flowers. Really easy song, but does sound great.
