If there is a store by you that allows you to rent a violin I would suggest you start off with that. The quality of the violin won't be good at all but if you are just starting off. It will take a long time and a lot of practice before you need a $1500 instrument. However, if you do pick it up, enjoy playing it and are willing to put the time and effort into becoming a good player that is when you should upgrade to a medium one and then later an expensive one. There will be a lot of times where you hit a wall and get very frustrated...if you can make it through these and continually improve (I'm talking for at least 6 months to a year here) should you spend a considerable amount of money on your instrument.

TLDR - make sure it's something you really want to invest your time and money into before purchasing an expensive instrument, try renting one first and see how it goes

That I can't help you with. I started out renting one and after several years of playing I moved to a violin worth around $3,000 that has been in the family for a very long time (though once I got to college I stopped playing). I assume you're going to be taking lessons though so maybe contact your potential teacher and ask for their opinion

Best advice I can give you is to make sure you get advice from someone who knows what they're talking about

I just found a rental place that has lessons. I will be renting to own because it sonly like 15-30 $ a month and they will tune it and shit for free will also give me a discount on the books. Since lessons are 24$ per 0.5 hours.

I biked up there today.

I will be practicing 1 hour a day for a minimum of 5-6 days a week, 1 half hour lesson a week.
