No, a Les Paul JR is just a small guitar. The SG is a better looking guitar - and i'll argue that to the death.

The Studio is a nasty guitar, the standard is a beautiful guitar.

Play what you want - I won't :)

Agreed - it's like posting a joke, then posting "this was really funny" or something - tis very lame.

Ontopic - Les Pauls are only good if they are Standards. The thin straight studio's are hideous and I would recommend an SG anyday of the week over a Studio LP.

Most studio's (especially the premium studios) are amazing guitars man... most of what you pay for on a standard is aesthetics, and yes while I think a standard les paul looks insanely better, if you were to do a blind test I highly doubt you could pick out the difference if you were using the same pickups and amp settings. On a side note, I would rather buy an SG over a les paul studio... lol

Thats why I went for an SG in the beginning. I knew it was striking, I knew it played like a dream, and I knew it'd be a guitar-for-life. It's in the price range of a studio, but it's cheaper than a standard which is the ultimate goal lol
