I wanna have perfect pitch so i can get melodies out of my head and into the air instantly. i have alot of melodies in my head and i often like to improvise melodies by humming. id rather improvise on an instrument, but i dont know what notes im thinking in my head. do u guys think trying to get perfect pitch would be a good idea for me?

Why do you need perfect pitch to do that? If you're soloing, say in a jazz ensemble, you should be able to easily lay out solos that are in your head in any key as long as you know the scales and so on. I mean if you have difficulty playing out what you are thinking of, then the issue is just practicing, knowing basic music theory, knowing the different scales and just practicing solos. You certainly don't need perfect pitch to do what you are talking about.
