I was thinking about getting a 7 string myself eventually... But I already own a nice ESP LTD Baritone that I keep in either Dropped A for Nile songs, Standard B tuning for other death metal (Impaled, Amon Amarth etc.), or A# for some Behemoth songs (even though Behemoth uses a 7 string tuned to A# for those songs).

Also Emperor's Prometheus album is done on a 7 string guitar (all good reasons for me to buy one because I enjoy playing covers).

But I would have to agree with everyone who said strings being expensive as well as Necks being wider... All things to consider. The guitar is just non-standard so you will have problems for sure. just throwing this one out there too, IMHO it's not worth buying to cover Korn songs if that's what you're thinking Sorry just my tastes.

I dono I like my baritone alot the only thing I sort of wish it had is a tremolo system as it is strings through body (LTD MHB400). So I can't play some Nile/Behemoth solos in their entirety.
