do like some jackson ( but with your own style ) like custom paint , etc.

Okay, but what you're doing is chopping out random pieces at choppy angles. Looks like an homage to B.C. Rich

But also what you need to remember is guitar body styles such as the les paul and stratocaster are particular shapes that are made that way for a reason. They are built to be both comfortable and easy to play both standing up and sitting down, as well as built in a way to actually compliment and add to the sound of the guitar overall. Is your design going to be comfortable to play? Is the body going to resonate in such a way as to improve the sound or hinder it? Don't just try to cut up a piece of wood to make it look cool and think that it won't effect the sound man
