If you want to actually have GOOD tone, and not useless digital effects get the epiphone valve junior mini stack, its a 5 watt class A tube head and a matching 1x12 cab. Then go and grab a decent ANALOG distortion pedal, so check out some Electro-Harmonix brand pedals or even MXR are really great brands. What makes these great are that the majority of the pedals are analog and offer true bypass, and putting one of those in front of a class A tube amp just gets you kickass tone.
For practice to save the tubes in my fender hot rod deluxe I use an epiphone valve junior head out of a orange 4x12 cab, and I use one of those Electro-Harmonix metal muff pedals, and it sounds fucking kickass man
what are the prices for those? i dont really care for quality right now im just beginning. just need something that is good for beginning and when i get decent. i will probably upgrade guitar and amp when i get better at guitar
