Yes, although I am not a fan of B.C Rich, and especially not the warlock styled guitars.

but sound wise, I would say the ESP's are going to win in your price range.

and on another note, I think its still to pay 80 dollars more for that M-401NT over the M-401, just for a quilted top.... but thats my opinion again, I play pretty simple looking guitars normally.

Lol, Ibanez or ESP/LTD will sound WAY better than any bc rich.

As far as my research went, the "Elvira" you're talking about is a normal warlock. It's only limited and worth "1k", as you say, because of the paint-job.

Warlocks go for $600 at much. Even at that price, I doubt they match ESP/LTD and Ibanez in term of quality, hardware and everything else.

You're WAY better off with ESP/LTD or Ibanez.

and yeah the ESP is the way to go in your price range for a metal guitar, and again especially since it comes stock with EMG's

Like I said, I can't help you much there, it's all based on your preferences.

Also, about the Ibanez, you say you love the look of it, but did you actually know that the blackberry sunburst is $650 and has a tremolo?

Go find a guitar center or a decent shop and play some of these guitars, I have yet to purchase a guitar without playing it first man. Also have you checked out craigslist yet? you can get some some wicked awesome deals on there if you are careful and know what you are buying.
