If it's any consolation, i've been making fun of this band for years, the fact that members are dying is only an added bonus.

Were there drummers better than he...sure....but as far as skill level goes, imo he was up there. There are alot of ppl who make fun of Travis Barker, but he is one of my favs too.
If I were a betting man, I'd say that the ppl making fun....have never played in their life. Thusly they have no respect for someone who dedicated their life to the art, regardless of how talented they may or may not have been.
He wasn't only a drummer, he played many instruments and wrote quite a few songs. I respect a musician. Just because he banded with some not-so-talented others to make some cash....
