Stating that a guitarist is unanimously the "best guitarist" is an ignorant statement to begin with.

Discuss about what?
Of course he's not the best, but he's not the worst too.

Impossible to compare best when not everyone plays same style. But IMO maybe on technique and creativity there are better guitarists out there that may not be more popular than Yngwie or have achieved as fame as he has ~

John Petrucci, Steve Vai, Michael Romeo, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, Jeff Beck, among many others can be all debated and talked about as the greatest guitarist. But I really don't believe there is a clear cut or unanimous decision that Yngwie is even the greatest by far. I mean from all the professional discussions I have heard as the greatest guitarist, Yngwie has only infrequently been on the lists many times with their reasoning being that his technique is sometimes quite sloppy off studio recordings.

I'd love to know why only electric players are mentioned in these conversations. Tommy Emmanuel plays circles around most of those "shredders." Steve Vai himself will even tell you that.

Also, Yngwie's a bore and extremely overrated.

Holy shit I was just listening to him on a friends facebook for the first time when I just read your comment!

The universe works in strange ways.

His song "Angelina" is fucking brilliant.

Define "the best".
Yngwie is extremely good at what he does, yes, but there is also other styles of playing that I doubt he masters as good as the neo-classical.
There are so many styles of guitar playing, that no man would ever in a lifetime be able to master them all at once. Period.

this is totally true,
yngwie is pro at his genre, but im sure that people in other genres will show him up
and yeah, everybody has their own flaws like you said Experiment
