see what I mean?

The only thing to consider here is that you're just giving false hope to anybody that would want to start drums by saying: "If you can't get an acoustic kit, don't bother learning drums then".

You can keep time with pots and pans.

With an acoustic you can practice rim shots, various tones, modding heads and shells, various lengths of cymbals, choking cymbals, various pressures on the kick pedal and hi hat pedal, etc etc..I could go on.

Yeah because the only use of an e-kit is to learn how to keep time.

God you're so stupid.

I feel bad for any kids you take under your wing as far as teaching the drums goes.

And I feel sad for every person that can't get an acoustic kit because of their parents or their neighborhood that get disappointed because you just tell 'em they can't learn drums properly without an acoustic kit.

You got nothing to add, just think about how stupid your statement is. It really reflects on the way I see you, a moron crushing dreams.

Well, I normally wouldn't have said that, but there are a few 'E-kit enthusiasts' on this forum who might get angry if I didn't

( I kinda flamed e-kits in an earlier thread and they all came out of the woodworks )

But no person in the right mind should ever recommend an e-kit to someone who wants to LEARN drums.

I disagree both with the acoustic and the e-kit guys..
Obviously an acoustic kit is FAR BETTER than an e-kit..
But it's not true that someone who cannot afford an acoustic shouldn't start playing drums.
If you're good @ it you can even play with glass bottles and 2 knifes lol.
Yeah, an e-kit will never give to the drummer the "feeling" that an acoustic gives, but it's still a good instrument..
You shouldn't be so mad @ e-kits Eep even though acoustics are "better".. :p (obviously depends on price, as most of things in life)
