i try to play everyday but most of the time im very tired cuz of school so i play, but very badly.. and this gets me mad you dont even know.. so yeah i play for about 1-2 hour/day, 5 time a week

what im wondering is, do i play enough? i mean, i do really want to become a goods guitarist, but im afraid i dont put enough time and energy on it.

what ya think?

yes, you play more than enough, i play 1-2 hours a day 5 days per week, and im sure i own almost every fucker here (drums), ive been playing for less than 4 years im 16 and can play almost everything

sometimes is best to take one/two days off and chill, when you play again you will feel a bit slow but once u get warm ull be better than before

(:

IMO, tiredness is what makes me play like a shit, and i dont have to play for an hour to know that im playing wrong, i just cant play a single note corretly, cant get concentrated, no speed/fluidity/accuracy in my fingers, i just drop my guitar and do something else

well fuck

ive been only playing guitar for like 4 or 5 months ;(

good thing you started 4-5 months ago instead of never, right? keep it up it gets better and better. alot of people use the excuse "i should have started 10 years ago" and never start.

When I used to do grades I aimed for at least half an hour a day (piano)

But after I stopped doing grades and started college I usually do 20 minutes at most a day, if I'm in a good mood I'd spend much more though.

Eight Days a Week

It is less about how much you play, compared to how accurately you practice, and how consistently you play.

Playing 30 mins a day is better than 2 hours every 4 days etc.

Trying to play fast and sloppily will teach you to play fast and sloppily.

Learning at a pace you can play with zero mistakes consistently and then progressing faster once it's easy to play it accurately is the right way to practice and will get you much farther than other ways

This is very true, also keep in mind, that jam sessions with multiple musicians, tend to be HIGHLY more effective in developing skill. There was some study done that equated an hour of jamming to something like 6 hours of playing by yourself.
