haha it's all good. you've probably never heard most of the music i listed anyways, i think most d2 players like metal and rock. michael jackson made pop music (king of pop), the hip hop i'm referring to is not heard on the radio.

I love big L, sickest breath control ever- but who knows how he would have turned out if he had not died so shortly after he started putting out music. nas probably would have been looked at the same way if he had died shortly after illmatic. though I wish big L had more material, I can play lifestyles of da poor and dangerous over and over again and it stays amazing.

I like hip hop, I like some nas and tupac, though I can't say I like old school hip hop...just kind of bores me, same beat, same lyrical rhythm throughout the whole song -- but the lyrics are usually good. Though I don't like a lot of the new crap either (cough jim jones cough lil wayne, dipset, Soulja Boy)...its just bad, really bad. I'm more of a fiasco, kanye, gym class heroes person.

yeah most of the new popular stuff is crap. i can listen to lupe, kanye, common once in awhile. as for older stuff i still love ultramagnetic mc's (kool kieth), gang starr, krs-one, eric B & rakim...
