Get an Ibanez S, imo. The floyd system is perfect. They're really thin and comfortable too.

Warlocks are poor in quality - that is unless you can find an old 90's american made model..But if you don't know how to setup your guitar take it to a guitar shop and have them check it out..

If it used to sound good but now doesn't you could have a few things wrong with it.. Action could be off, neck could be warped, maybe your strings are just old "dead tone" strings..

The Emgs are nice ive played Dimarzio's and Duncan's but the zakk pickup's are killer fucking screaming pickup's that put out a very wide freq output wise.

There's a reason why sooo many metal guitarist use them.

What model of Warlock is it? Did you buy it new, and if not, do you know when it was made?

imo your amp is not the problem, its the electronics in the warlock. you could replace the pickups etc or sell "as it"

So, I picked up a Warlock when I was in canada 2 years ago.
It's a very comfortable guitar, but the sound is getting worse and worse. I've considered that maybe my amp is the problem, but i plugged in my old Jackson and it still sounds great.

So my question is -
Should i get a EMG Zakk Wylde 85/81 combo for $200 to salvage the most comfortable guitar i've ever played (Which ran me for only about $450)
Or just move on to something new?

try to put new strings on ur guitar ^^ rly helps .. just kiddin'

honestly, warlocks are horrible guitars. terrible sound, and as im sure youve noticed, they fail miserably over time. i reccomend any fender strat or gibson les paul obv ;) however, if you are hell-bent on keeping the warlock, check the truss rod. You can also take it to your local music shop and have them run tests on the electronics. most likely what it is are the pickups, or your bridge. warlocks are made of cheaper materials, and wood expands and contracts when it comes into contact with varietal weather patterns. at any rate, save some money and buy a quality guitar :)

Amp = 95% of tone

bad electronics only cause hum, or scratchy pots, or picking up radio. It wont crap your tone.
