but can it take 7 mics at one time :D
i dont uinderstand all this jargon + about 1 hour ago my left eye started to go all blurry...

You can use 1 mic per channel. If you have a mic adapter then you can use more than 1 but. You want each mic to be on it's own channel that way you can control the sound from each mic and balance the sound.
For example dampening your bass and setting the sound of your snare to a higher crack. You can also control the master volume and just turn down your snare and turn up a single tom or like 3 toms. Once you get a recorder READ THE MANUAL. and actually read it. After that you're ready to go bro.

okay sick :)

so that being a 10 track recorder
means i could have 10 mics? (not going to but just checking)
and a 16 means 16 mics etc?


and do these just plug straight into a pc?

Umm not all will have that many jacks but for the most part they should.
These do usually come with the USB port to plug into your pc if not they're not expensive at all.
Just be sure since I'm sure you live somewhere in Europe that when you purchase a device it is European power outlet supported/compatible.
I know most stuff like this is for American power outlets.
